Remix 3D and structure blocks. I can honestly say I'm happy with the direction Microsoft is taking with this game.
For the first time in the history of Minecraft, people playing on multiple platforms can all play together on servers, something we've been waiting on for a long time. Now, there are some legitimate reasons not to get this game, but if you have the Java version, you might as well get this, too, because you can use the code you have with your Mojang account to get this for free.
That's what I did. I actually prefer this over the Java Edition because it performs better on my computer. You can have both versions of this game and be happy with one or the other, but I appreciate both of them.
If Microsoft wants to make this the flagship Minecraft, I'm okay with it. I understand your frustration if you prefer the Java version, though. I didn't like the idea at first, either, but it's nice to know they're not abandoning the Java version. They just keep making Minecraft better and better.
Before you go downloading this you have to understand that this is a beta. I have found many bugs just barely entering the game. There is one HUGE advantage to getting WinX edition and that is fps. The fps has increased dramatically from the PC version. I even ran this on a bad computer to try it out, and I was floating around 60-80 fps. Some bugs I have noticed however is that you have to click a block/animal once before you can actually interact with it. This makes it virtually impossible to kill animals.
But, as I said, it's a Beta. Also, I can't speak for everyone but I personally am used to a small GUI, and in the PC version you are able to change the size of the GUI, but unfortunately that is yet to be a feature in the WinX edition. I love the fact that you can change skins and characters. Some of the content of the game is outdated compared to the PC edition, but many people are enjoying it because it reminds them of Minecraft classic. Overall, I think this has great potential. For those of you that don't know, this is not an attempt to make the pc version into a windows 10 application.
It's an attempt to unify the mobile, xbox, and pc games. That being said, it's simply a port from pocket edition to a pc, which means it is limited to the functions of mobile devices to a degree. Granted, it does not have as much functionality as the full pc version, but it does allow you to connect with pe and xbox users in way that was not possible before. And remember, it is in BETA testing, which means there will be quite a few bugs and crashes.
Overall, it's great for it's use. I love the fact that you have the option of adventure, survival, and creative. When I played MCPE 5 years ago it was nothing like this.
And now with the upcoming 'Better Together' update. It only gets better from here.
Can't wait to see what Mojang has in store for me and the rest of the community. Along with every update comes another 4 months of interesting discovery and something new to discover and better quality gameplay.
We are catching up to the Java version of minecraft and soon, we will be neck and neck. Java will be no longer. Soon everyone will wanna play just 'Minecraft' not Pocket Edition, or console edition. There will be no more of that. Java and ps4 or ps3 edition will be somewhat of a time filler if you don't have the other versions but anyways! Great Game, Great Updates, and Amazing Plans!
Please don't change the way you guys do things at Mojang. You've done well. Keep up the good work.:D And I just realized I almost reached the typing limit. I LOVE THIS GAME, its so fun and by far my favorite mobile game and near favorite on pc.
GREAT job on the game and making it enjoyable. I also have the beta version on my tablet and it is awesome so far but there is tons of bugs with the item frames and the camera add on. So please fix those things, and with the add on and the ender pearls please make it so you can go to the end, I would really enjoy that and this would be my favorite game all time that I own if you would do that. THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME GAME!!!
